What is Maya?

Maya will help you manage your addresses. It will enable you to store all your addresses in one location, ready to use, rather than having them in ten different shapes and places and trying to remember where you might have left that phone number...
My main concern in writing Maya was - and still is - to make a simple, pleasant, and efficient tool.

From the same uncrowded and customizable interface, you can easily view, sort, retrieve, edit, add and delete records in your address book.
The records can include the following information :
- full name and address (home and work)
- company
- phone numbers (home, work, portable) and fax numbers (home, work)
- two personal email addresses, one work email address
- two web page addresses (home and work)
- notes
- a date alert, which can be a birthday you don't want to miss, when to contact a client, or anything you like.
- a category associated to the record - you can make up your own categories.

With Maya you can also dial a phone number, send email, or open a web page simply by clicking a button. You can also print your addresses, and more...
For further details, see below:

A quick look at Maya's functions

- You can organize records into categories (friends, relatives, etc.) that can be adapted to your needs.
- You can filter your records, to show only those belonging to a chosen category, or...
- define your own request, which can combine up to three different criteria.
- The records can be marked for a finer selection or to make a temporary group of records from different categories.
- The phone numbers of each record can be dialed from Maya, and a message be sent to one or several email addresses.
- Maya will launch your default browser and display the web page associated to a record.
- 12 shortcut buttons can be programmed with your most often used phone numbers and email addresses.
- You can print part or all of your addresses, as a mini phonebook, or on envelopes or labels.
- You can easily export and import addresses from and into Maya, as text or as vcards (a standard format of electronic business cards)
Text files exported from Maya can be used by the fusion and mailing functions of MS Word ®
- You can set a different postal address layout for each record (e.g. with/without country name) or for all records by default.
- You can assign a date to each record, and have Maya keep a watch and alert you up to 28 days before.
- Protect your data with a password
- and more...
